eKitabu Tunaenda Digital Newsletter January 2020

Dear Friends,

Happy New Year to all. I hope you celebrated the start of 2020 in good spirits with family and friends and I warmly welcome you to a fresh new decade. As we raise the curtains and peer out on this landscape both familiar and untraveled, what can we see? If, like me, you like to read, then one path through the months before us lies in books we have yet to encounter and ones we know to which we can’t help but return again and again and again because they are, as the poet says:

“an inheritance” –
Upright, rudimentary, unshiftably planked
In the long ago, yet willable forward

Even in the trackless yet infinitely connected digital future that seems to overlay empirical life, reading, and its inspiration, writing, are more valuable than ever. I salute readers, authors, editors, designers, publishers, and teachers, and I look forward to the books of 2020.

Warmest regards,
Will
