Deaf Teacher Workforce Development

Deaf children learn best when they are taught in sign language by teachers who share their language and culture. eKitabu works with ministries of education and Deaf communities to grow a professional workforce of Deaf teachers and teaching assistants.

Through training, mentorship and classroom support, the program helps deaf learners access early-grade reading in their first language — building the foundation for lifelong learning and inclusion.
